Architecture of the Mind

Let's sharpen our intellect!

Much of this workshop will be focused on the ancient scriptures as we discuss these powerful teachings. But perhaps, the greatest learning comes in the form of experience, so we'll close with the greatest practice of the mind, meditation.

In this workshop, we will look at three different lenses of the mind to deeper understand how it influences the overall state of our being, and ultimately our happiness.

Imbalance and suffering is an inherent aspect of human life, but with intention, skill and awareness, we can greatly affect how deeply and how much we struggle. The ancient teachings of yoga, Buddhism and Ayurveda all place great emphasis on the state of the mind being a heavy hitter in the role of our health.

Let's sharpen our intellect! After all, this is a workshop about the mind. Much of this workshop will be focused on the ancient scriptures as we study and discuss these powerful teachings. But perhaps, the greatest learning comes in the form of experience, so we will close the practice with the greatest practice of the mind, meditation.

Gretchen Mills, PhD

Since 2005, I have studied and taught Yoga and Ayurveda with the intention of strengthening my own foundation and to share these teachings in a way that is most meaningful for the greater good. My personal studies are focused on the science of breathing, Ayurveda, ashtanga and hatha yoga, meditation, and the daily practices that bring the many layers of self into balance.
